Church planting is the main work  of the church

  • The main intention of Jesus Christ  is to build permanently a people for Himself.  His mission in coming to earth is to redeem a people by dying on the cross and resulting in the gathering of the redeemed. He said, “I will build my church...” Matthew  16:18.

  • Church Planting Preserves the Results of Evangelism.  Money and effort invested in evangelism will be wasted without the creation of a new church to nurture them. The New Church is the Lord’s assembly to which He adds those who are saved: `Nevertheless, more and more men and women believed in the Lord and were added to their number.’ Acts 5:14.

  • Church Planting Presents a Continuing Witness to the City.   In evangelizing a new area, the new believers should be organized as a new church  and  equipped to be able to share the gospel message to others. We go to invade an enemy territory, we go there to stay and keep the enemy out. The most effective way of staying in the town is by planting a church.

Each church is the "church planter"

  • Churches are born by churches. Every  local church planting another church is  the most natural and practical way to plant churches.  The   church is not just an end but also a means to an end, not just a goal, but also a tool. The established local church is God’s instrument in the formation of other churches.

  • Local church leadership and membership involved in church planting. When a local church decides to plant another church, it will be an application of the priesthood of every believer. Leaders commit to motivate, train and mobilize ordinary believers.

Church planting is learned by actually doing it

  • Church planting   cannot be learned by    class room type sessions.  It is learned by actually doing it.   We need to bring our church members  to the actual church planting environment – a church planting laboratory – where they will learn how to do it!

  • Babies learn to talk by talking, learn to walk by walking. Churches learn to plant churches by actually planting a church

I see the church healthy and alive, worshipping the Lord, loving one another, and evangelizing the lost world.
I see the church occupying the town or city by multiplication of churches in every populated area.
I see the church fast entering into a culture of church planting until Jesus comes.

Matthew 9:36- 38  When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.  Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.  Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.” (NIV)

The harvest is plentiful and ripe for harvest
The workers are few.

The solution:  For the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest field.

Do we have the manpower?
Yes we do, the people in our churches

Can we send them out?
Yes, we can! We will motivate, train and mobilize them!
We will empower them, and send them!
